Hello, my name is Karen Gros & I am the
photographer at Down Nostalgia Lane
Photography.
Today in this digital world, there are images
everywhere, so I feel honored that you are
taking the time to view my site.
Every photographer has a slightly different
approach & style. It is not as simple as just
pointing the camera and shooting. Heck, if
it was, Uncle Joe would be out of business!!
Are you tired of the big cheesy smiles and
photographs looking rehearsed? Boring,
right?
Simply put,, my style is photojournalistic,
allowing everyone to have a nice, relaxed
time. Being at ease, laughing, enjoying
yourself, and sometimes even being
downright silly, is what I hope to inspire.
I quietly follow you, capturing just the right
moments & then, make the images come
alive through post processing. I love to do
on location photo shoots (i.e. a park, your
backyard, etc) and weddings or any other
events.
A few posed pictures is fine, but wedding
pictures in particular, become all too
predictable with everyone smiling artificially
and looking directly into the camera.
I do not scream or antagonize anyone... &
am quite discreet. If you want a pushier
photographer or one that is interested in
taking several mundane staged shots, I am
not your gal.
